CARE Bangladesh, as Co-Chair of the SUN Civil Society Network (SUN CSN), was honored to participate in a high-level engagement with the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Nutrition for Development, hosted by the SUN Movement Secretariat Bangladesh and partners at the Bangladesh National Nutrition Council (BNNC) on 4 October 2026.
The distinguished delegation included Monica Harding MP, Alan Gemmell OBE MP, Rt Hon David Mundell MP, Lord Jonathan Oates, Martha Varney, and Adara Srikanth. The dialogue brought together government representatives, civil society organizations, UN agencies, youth networks, private sector actors, and development partners to discuss collective actions for advancing nutrition, climate resilience, and sustainable development in Bangladesh.

The engagement reinforced the strong partnership between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom and highlighted the importance of strengthened collaboration to accelerate progress in maternal and child nutrition. The session featured a presentation by Mr. Mamunur Rashid, Joint Secretary (World Health Wing), Health Services Division, MoHFW, was presided over by Dr. Mahbubur Rahman, Director General of BNNC, and concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Mohammed Eunus Ali.
